How CS:GO Changed The Way I Game
It began with a title called Call of Dudy: Black OPS. That was my initial FPS experience. I really enjoyed it. The main issue was its Wii platform—very low resolution and a clunky joystick that made aiming nearly impossible. It felt like spending seconds on a stationary target. Eventually, I moved to PC and played games like Planetside 2, BF3+, and others. I was amazed by how detailed and smooth they ran despite my modest hardware. Then I tried CS:GO, but I never played it. One day I decided to give it a shot and was surprised by its quality. The visuals were realistic yet streamlined, the performance was impressive, and the gameplay was mature. I’ve spent over 300 hours on it now. It has raised the bar for what’s possible, making even older titles like BF3/4 feel outdated.
Consider upgrading your PC for smoother performance with tougher first-person shooters.
Perhaps it's simply fate, but most folks I meet in CS:GO aren't very mature.
It's been a while since I played a game—about five months now. I need to learn everything from Linux, then move on to photography, videography, video editing, VFX, and 3D modeling. It’s safe to say I won’t be playing any games in the next five years, yaaaaaaaay!
I really appreciate how well-optimized CSGO is, but since the major updates I've noticed more young players switching from consoles to PC, I believe the CSGO scene is becoming increasingly toxic. When I first started playing, the community felt completely different from what it is today.
This setting isn't ideal; 60Hz and 60 frames per second cause issues. Use 144Hz for a seamless experience. Even minor movements like opening a window or scrolling feel much smoother.
I've used both 60Hz and 144Hz screens; the latter offers significantly smoother visuals, unlike the choppy 60Hz one. 60Hz should look more consistent. Have you experimented with Adaptive V-Sync and enabled "Virtual reality pre-rendered frames" at level 1?
