I achieved stable overclocking of my i5 9600k to 5ghz. To reach the advertised RAM speeds, I enabled the xmp profile. Using the xmp 1 profile allowed me to boot without issues, but it crashed during a game. Switching to xmp 2 resolved the problem and kept the CPU clock stable between 4.2 and 4.6ghz.

Also consider if you can't meet both goals simultaneously—prioritize which matters more for frame rates, or should you stick with the existing settings?
