When using UEFI boot, selecting Windows or Linux should function properly. You can verify this by disconnecting the HDD temporarily. If Windows boots successfully, reconnect it and reformat the drive. If you previously chose Windows via GRUB (Legacy), compatibility may depend on your setup—check if you booted from the SSD only. Ensure a Windows recovery image or partition is available.
