Certainly. Could you clarify the specific actions you'd like to understand better? Additionally, could you confirm the source of the OS installation? Is it the default setup on a laptop?

I'm preparing to format my hard drive and set up a new Windows 11 installation using the media creation tool.
The existing Windows 10 Pro was likely preinstalled on this laptop, probably by the company that provided it.
It comes from a local brand named Doel, which I believe has stopped production.
I'm curious if I can move the Windows activation keys from this Windows 10 Pro to the new Windows 11 during installation.
The settings indicate it was activated with a digital license.
I also have the option to upgrade via Windows Update, though I'd rather do a clean install.

It came with Windows 10.
You want to upgrade to Windows 11.
The process involves two steps.
First, perform an in-place upgrade to Windows 11, which should work if there are no other issues.
Next, completely erase and reinstall a clean Windows 11.
This step might be challenging. The existing Windows 10 license might not be compatible with you.

I think step 2 undermines step 1, though it's worth testing. Thanks for the support! ❤️

Step 1 avoids problems regarding the current Win 10 license moving to Win 11.
Step 2 aims to remove all previous elements.

You can also associate your Microsoft account with your license. This ensures that whenever you connect using your account on any PC, you'll have access to a licensed Windows version. The initial message mentions that the laptop has just been updated to Windows 11, so it's important to verify if the license was successfully transferred.
