How can I double my network speed?
Hello everyone, My ISP provides two public IP addresses, each offering 1000M download and 500M upload speeds. I’ve connected one to my PC and the other to my WiFi router. I’m curious—can I achieve a combined speed of 2000M by connecting my PC directly to the router’s WiFi? Or is there a way to bridge the two Ethernet networks in Windows settings to boost performance? It would be helpful if someone could share their experience or advice.
It can be achieved using a suitable router, but there are some challenges: To make 2GB of internet functional you’ll need a 5GB/10GB connection and a router capable of handling it. The main issue is that you’ll only see two IP addresses online, which means secure connections won’t work and you might get blocked. Ultimately, it functions more like load balancing rather than true bonding, requiring your ISP to configure this setup.
