I combined various DDR3 modules with varying timings and speeds, and there were no problems in practice—though it seems unlikely in theory. The same applies to DDR4. When using an XMP profile, the quickest RAM will adjust to match the slowest one.

I see DDR3 as one of the strongest types of RAM available. I've used it in various projects and it consistently performed well.
