Hey everyone
I understand this CPU (i7-4790K) tends to get quite warm even when not overclocked.
I've managed to get it running at around 4.6Ghz with 1.3 volts, and during prime time I see about 80°C.
It's connected through a custom loop, along with a GPU block, and has two 240 radiators.
But I'm hoping for even better cooling, since I hit my thermal limits.
I've tried re-seating the block and using fresh thermal paste, but I'm not sure if that will help much.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Using the 26.6 version of prime95 for the small test is recommended, as newer versions may not perform well with FPU testing and are generally unsuitable for Haswell processors. See the referenced forum post for more details.

Sure, just to be sure, if you're using a version of prime that's older than 26.6, you should still have room to go.

It includes an absurd instruction set that isn't feasible in reality, often causing temperatures to rise by several degrees. It rarely causes harm; it mainly produces inaccurate temperature readings.
