Honest opinion on Shadow.tech
Hello guys, could you please give me your honest opinion on Shadow.tech ? I really like the concept but I don't know h ow powerful the config they propose is . Will it be able to run every game in high settings for example... I only play online games and I'm worried about the latency . My internet speed shouldn't be an issue I actually have 800Mb/s up and 500Mb/s down. I like the idea that I'm going to have to upgrade my PC every 2 to 3 years to keep it up. The price is very affordable. Anyway could you give me your opinion or you experience with shadow.tech??
I don't know much about live game streaming tools like this one. It seems Nvidia might have tried something similar. I'm not a big supporter of it; you usually get better performance with lower latency on your own computer. The plan costs 29 euros a month, but the one-year version is 348 euros total. You could use a used GPU and upgrade your current setup for faster results without spending that much.
I need to upgrade my CPU and GPU, switching from AMD to Intel. This means I’ll have to replace my motherboard. Ultimately, I’m planning to buy a new PC. That’s why the monthly cost looks appealing. I won’t have to worry about future upgrades or whether my setup can handle the game.
However, you'll likely end up wasting your investment if the game disappears or gets removed. Even if you manage to get it at first, you might still need to purchase a PC and buy the game later, especially if the publisher fails. It all comes down to how much you value owning the game versus playing it. If you're only interested in the newest titles and don't plan to revisit them, it could be fine. But personally, I find it frustrating to pay for something you can't truly possess. Streaming via Steam at home doesn’t match the quality or speed of a direct connection, which is why I prefer local play whenever possible.
