Yeah we know what that is, but here there is no distinction. You've got X amount of data, and whether you use it from the phone itself or through hotspot doesn't matter.

That's great. I hope it feels similar for you too.

Interesting methods they use to identify it—like monitoring the MAC address of devices sharing the same public IP... It's quite clever. It seems they manage traffic limits, restrict certain types of data, cap speeds after reaching a threshold, yet still label it as "UNLIMITED." Maybe the next rule will be based on how many users can connect at once, like 5GB for hotspot internet... Haha!

I believe current smartphones have a method to inform the carrier about hotspot activation. Carriers also track the device model a SIM uses, which means if it’s a USB or PCIe adapter they can identify it, though it’s unclear whether they actually notice. Still, since all providers do this everywhere I’ve been, it makes sense.

Well, considering this, the mint mobile unlimited plan is genuinely boundless, while other options fall short. Speaking of speed, technically it’s almost fully restricted, though it remains somewhat functional for someone accustomed to constant, slow internet access.
