home network help
I've checked my Comcast fiber speed with the older model—it reached about 900 Mbps, close to what I expect. With the newer setup, it drops to around 500 Mbps sometimes, and occasionally it drops even further or even reverses. It seems like my computer might be handling things incorrectly, since I don’t use any networking software and haven’t made any changes. This could point to an issue with the motherboard or the Intel R 1211 Gigabit network card. The older Asus system on MSI Carbon Pro 370 is working fine.
Consider some options such as reinstalling the network driver you might have already done. If you’re using any MSI tools like gaming lan manager, stop the reboot and try again. Using a spare drive, you can install a clean Windows 10 copy and test it with basic settings (only if it fails without the driver, use minimal drivers). You can build a USB 10 installer from Microsoft’s site using their free media creation tool.
