Hey there, looking for some guidance. I wasn’t paying much attention to the Ryzen launch when they released the third generation, so I’m not sure how much the second-gen prices fell. I’m thinking about upgrading my CPU and motherboard from the I7 6700/Gygabyte H110m-S2H to a Ryzen 9 3900x/x570. I do a lot of professional video editing with 4K files, using Adobe Suite including After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop. I know the Ryzen 9 3950X is much more powerful, but I’m not convinced the extra $300 is worth it compared to the 3900X. Should I hold off until the Ryzen Gen 4 arrives and maybe lower the price, or should I go for the 3900X now? Thanks for your advice!
I suggest you wait for the CPU but my motherboard now as more people will by the motherboards and value will go slightly up
