This approach feels odd at first because FPS games often include visible characters, but here the focus is on a simple floating hand or gun. The developers likely avoided drawing anything to enhance immersion and realism. Spoiler: showing anything just results in a blank screen, which makes it feel more authentic.

it really doesn't require a lot of memory, which is the opposite of what people used to think. it shows a lot visually, but the art style feels dull and unoriginal, so it doesn’t appeal to me. i don’t care about story or health stats, just gameplay matters to me. denuvo isn’t always bad for performance, and in some cases it even improves things. it only becomes a problem if your system is really limited or if the implementation is poorly done.

I’ve logged more than fifty hours of playtime, completed the main storyline, and still can’t find any reason to justify such a large memory usage. It’s not just a slogan or a desperate effort to keep things backward-compatible. If there was a solid motivation to upgrade RAM, we’d already see it happening—similar to how ray tracing drove GPU adoption in games. For SSDs, benefits like asset streaming in BONELAB show the same pattern. I appreciate the attention to detail and visual quality here. It’s not extraordinary, but it feels satisfying to me. As for gameplay, I’m enjoying the universe elements, though I also loved Control, so third-person combat resonates with me. That said, the experience isn’t entirely original; it leans toward a specific audience with puzzles, exploration, quests, and light combat. There are other angles I can think of, but in comparison to titles like Hogwarts Legacy, Denuvo seems to be limiting performance—especially if that version is affected by updates that unintentionally restrict settings, making players feel they’re maxing out while they’re not.

You're facing significant CPU strain, especially on a GPU-optimized setting like 1440p/4K without DLSS or high ultra settings. The i5 model is outdated and struggles with the RTX 3080 in recent games. Try reducing only CPU-related parameters such as population density and foliage, while keeping other settings high to boost GPU performance. At lower resolutions and settings, you become even more CPU-dependent, which reduces your FPS. Also, be aware that Hogsmeade can severely limit CPU performance. On my RTX 3070 with Ryzen 7 5800H at 1440p using DLSS, I dropped from 70-80 FPS to 40-50 in Hogsmeade. Additionally, Ray Tracing is problematic here—it's buggy, causes light leaks indoors, and doesn't work well on water surfaces.
