so i just got a new gaming laptop with a gtx 1050 and an i7-7700hq. the gtx stays cool during games (50-60c), but the cpu at idle is around 55c, and when under load it reaches about 60-80 degrees. the base speed of my i7-7700hq is 2.8ghz, and the turbo is around 3.2ghz. my cpu is running at 3.4ghz anyway. can i go back its base speed?

try by resetting CMOS, or just set the default in BIOS
