Hello, thank you for reaching out. I’ve had similar issues with my setup. I’ve adjusted several BIOS settings—set the vcore to 1.235v, changed core speed from 5.0GHz to 4.7GHz, and set the uncore ratio to match the core speed in the XMP profile for RAM. During stress testing, the CPU temperatures stayed below 100°C with no throttling. Any advice or further steps you’d recommend would be appreciated.

If the CPU isn't throttling; it's probably running at full capacity. I believe I should aim for improved cooling and keep stress tests minimal.

The 9900KS delivers 127 Watts, whereas the Hyper 212 Evo has a TDP of 150 Watts. This explains the elevated temperatures. It’s advisable to consider a water cooler for the 9900KS.

You received a 550$ CPU and a $20 cooler because the cooling solution didn’t match your build. High-end CPUs like 9900K can handle over 180W, so you need a proper cooler like NH U14s, NH D15 Darkrock Pro 4, or similar to keep things running smoothly.
