Hello everyone! Since I didn't get any assistance from Reddit, I realized I should have come here first. I pushed my 9900K to 5.2 with a 1.35v boost, and here are the temperatures from the AIDA stress test. Are these numbers normal? I'm not very familiar with how much heat this chip generates, and I'm just experimenting because I'm bored—it won't be running nonstop. Also, the CPU is completely open with a custom water loop and 360° PPR, thanks!

It will act like thermal throttling during a tougher test. Running cinebench is likely to get even hotter.

Focusing on FPU might occasionally raise temperatures. My approach is to run Prime95 smallFFT with HWinfo as the temperature test (it offers more details).

Thanks everyone for your responses! It seems the smallfft isn't working and it quickly increases the temperature before stopping, showing I really do have a cooling issue. Since my block is quite old, I've ordered a new EK Velocity, Der8auer OC direct die bracket with some conductonaut and radflush. Fingers crossed it helps!
