I favor Zork at 10 frames per second over 30. Minesweeper, however, is too demanding for my 1080 resolution.

I adjusted my settings to 5760x1080 at 60 frames per second. Beyond that, it didn’t matter much.

Playing Far Cry 4 at 40-50 FPS on your R9 380 at 1080p with medium-high settings feels manageable, though it might be a bit slower compared to newer titles. It’s probably just the age of the game affecting performance.

I prioritize consistency over maximum speed. I prefer a game capped at 30fps rather than swinging between 40-60. When the frame rate changes too much it leads to stuttering. Clearly, a higher rate improves the feel, but a steady rate ensures a smoother overall experience.
