I understand your point. My 7700x currently supports up to 5.45 for all cores and 5.65 for a single core.

The review highlights a fascinating case, yet the 7800x3D model was limited to just one core at 5.05GHz.

The -30 offset might be too high. Have you tried adjusting it to around 20 and pushing the maximum +MHz offset?

The 7800X3D has its limits set at 5050 MHz per core, likely to safeguard the premium X3D processors that can push higher speeds. For instance, the 7950X3D can easily reach 5250 MHz under light workloads thanks to its 3D VCache chiplet. AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D offers solid overclocking potential and boost capabilities. Its dual CCD architecture directs game processing only to cores with 3DV Cache, necessitating a tailored driver. While the built-in software works reasonably well, it isn't flawless—leading to slightly reduced performance compared to other setups. Disabling the second CCD yields a cleaner, faster experience, though at the cost of some gaming speed. The 7950X3D delivers a noticeable edge in both gaming and applications, especially for those willing to pay a premium. TechPowerUp highlights its strengths, noting that forum discussions often surpass YouTube reviews in depth. AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D reviews emphasize thermal performance, power use, and efficiency, suggesting it remains a strong contender for balanced workloads.
