Hi, I've noticed a problem with your MacBook Air 2017. You're running low on available RAM, and you're trying to meet the minimum requirement of 8GB for your course. The setup includes two VMs in VMWare Fusion—Ubuntu with 2GB and ESXi with 4GB—and four Windows 7 VMs that are currently unresponsive. I've attached a screenshot of the command you entered. To help, let me know what you're seeing when you open your screen in the terminal.

Virtual environments often perform poorly. I’m confused about the need for an Ubuntu VM when you can use the web interface on macOS.

This task demands a significantly more powerful machine. Would you like suggestions for alternatives with better specifications?

I own another laptop with superior specifications, but it’s overly bulky for everyday tasks. The plastic clips beneath dig into my legs when I place it on my lap. If I use a lap desk, the combined weight becomes impractical. The nested VM isn’t functioning well on my Macbook—initially it worked flawlessly, but now it’s extremely slow ten times out of ten. All my VMs are connected through an external Samsung T5 SSD via USB 3. I’m unsure about the exact USB 3 version on the 2017 MBA. Perhaps the interface is too slow, leading to the performance issues in the nested VM.

Consider using an active Ubuntu installation and booting from it. If issues arise, the problem likely lies with the connection.
