It's unusual for them to have such authority—no device on your system breaks FCC rules, which makes it hard to understand why they'd enforce anything. From a power perspective, a hairdryer uses about three times the draw of an overclocked setup.

I was planning to bypass the additional components and simply use a hard drive right away. Just to get it operational. I believed that gradually adding upgrades like a Samsung SSD and similar items one by one would be enjoyable for me.

Which one should you choose? There are countless options, many of which you should steer clear from. It makes your PC feel like the older model you just swapped out. I hope I wasn’t joking, but it’s actually a crucial part. Whether for office work or just a few Fortnite sessions? Grab 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD or something comparable. What’s your budget looking like?

I haven’t locked in the exact CPU just yet—something around the 8700 to the 9th generation. I’m considering a 600-watt power supply. I was hoping to cut costs by using an HDD instead of an SSD. I’m planning on a 1660 GTX with 8GB RAM, nothing too advanced. The case doesn’t have a window, so I won’t need the LED indicators. No water cooling is planned. I already have my two case fans, but I’ll likely need to purchase a new monitor for it, which should require DPI and HDMI ports—features that seem standard now.

Well, it's not necessary to push a board beyond its capabilities. The CPU boost function handles that for you anyway... I recommend choosing a motherboard with all the required components rather than relying on overclocking. Do you require more than one CPI-E? How many USB ports are needed? Also consider built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Don't stress about the board having overclocking options—it will function just like any standard board.
