11-19-2017, 07:46 AM #2I don’t reside in Germany, but I think around 300 bucks might be reasonable. The board looks nice, the 8600k remains solid, and it still offers a decent IP count—though I could be mistaken.

The 8600K is a great CPU—most of the time it runs at 5Ghz, giving it around 9900k performance at 1440p. The main reason I chose the R7 3700x was the absence of multicore performance since Intel didn't offer hyperthreading.

11-20-2017, 09:53 AM #4I understand you might have concerns, but it could actually be valuable. There’s a chance it might be worth around 350, so we could start there and adjust from there. The exact amount will depend on your perspective of its value.

VB tends to draw more interest, so it's worth aiming higher. 8600k plus a 370 is already close to 250-280€, plus a solid cooler and decent RAM—it's a strong setup, especially for gaming.

11-22-2017, 04:27 PM #7As mentioned before, gaming the CPU is great, but for other tasks the 3700X really takes over the 8600k performance. Running YouTube or Netflix while gaming kept it at full capacity (depending on the game) and caused frame drops. It also struggled with my 1Gbps download speed on Steam—maximum around 450Mbps because it couldn’t keep up with decompression. The 3700X stays at 100% during downloads at 920Mbps, which is a big issue. I still have a GTX 970 left; I plan to add it and start around 480 €.
