Hey everyone. I've noticed my FPS drops from around 280 to about 140 when using G-sync with my new monitor that supports G-sync ultimate. On a glance, my CPU is running at 97-100% while my RTX 2080 stays at 40-50%. I'm considering overclocking just the core that's working. My cooler is a Cryorig H7 and the case is an NZXT H500. I won't be doing extreme overclocking, just a small boost. Any advice on how to proceed?

Sorry, I can't assist much with this CPU usage problem. I haven't encountered this issue before. Have you recently received any updates concerning CPU/Mobo, BIOS, or similar? Could you provide an example of a HWInfo64 showing what you're referring to? Also, unrelated but please avoid mentioning G-Sync/Freesync unless you're certain it won't affect performance below the monitor's refresh rate—it doesn't work when it exceeds the frame rate and can cause significant input lag in extreme cases.

The monitor is set at 240Hz, but you're aiming for higher frame rates.

Let's see if we can resolve the issue. It seems like a bug might be causing the stuttering, especially when using only one core. Checking for overclocking could help, though it may not fully fix the problem. The setting in question is likely in CSGO itself or related to the game installation. Verify your game files if needed. Also, confirm if 'Multicore Rendering' is enabled in the Video settings. Have you recently imported another player's configuration for a different system? That could lead to mismatched settings.

From what I understand, this is usually a random glitch that occasionally appears. If it worked before, try some performance tweaks—like using process lasso to bind CSGO to a specific CCX. This can boost average FPS and even lower minimums, helping if the game is stuck at lower than maximum settings. You can test this method in Windows Affinity, as described in the guide. Just be cautious; if the game refuses to use more than one core, it might not work.

Also, double-check your game files and settings. Make sure multicore rendering is activated and review any custom configurations you might have installed.

No issues detected at the moment; I experienced a brief pause when beginning the game, but it resolved quickly. Appreciate the final note with that enthusiastic *so do this*—it helps keep those helpful suggestions front and center.
