I recently purchased a custom-built PC from CyberPower. I own a 3950X and an 1660 Super. Mostly I use the machine for rendering, doing high-quality renders that can take around 20 minutes thanks to its impressive 16-core processor. However, temperatures stay between 80 and 86°C. Are there any options to reduce these temps? I currently have a standard liquid cooler and three case fans, plus an ASRock X570 gaming motherboard. Thanks and sorry—I'm still getting used to computers. My previous setup was a Dell i7, so I'm not familiar with this level of performance.

Hello there. You can lower the CPU core voltage in BIOS settings. I think around -0.05V is a safe range before noticeable clock stretching occurs. Clock stretching happens when the CPU slows down due to low voltage, and it's not obvious from just checking the multiplier. You might notice it with tools like HWiNFO by comparing Effective Clock and Core Ratio. It won't significantly affect temperatures.

Is the upper panel designed to shield the radiator? You should rotate the exhaust fan for better airflow, as the front of that case isn’t ideal for intake—any case with a mesh front would work. *Haha, they shipped you a 16-core CPU with just a 120mm AIO; don’t buy ready-made... You can swap it out for a larger tower cooler like a Dark Rock Pro 4 or Noctua model if compatible.* Did you actually have a 240mm radiator at the top? Is it meant for intake or exhaust? Make sure the fan cover faces inward for optimal airflow from above.

It seems a 120mm AIO drawing air directly from the GPU works well, especially with 16 cores under heavy load. Expect temperatures in the 80-86°C range. If the cooler is set for intake, you might notice a slight drop, but overall cooling capacity could be limited. For better performance, a mid-sized air tower might offer more effective cooling.

It seems the current configuration isn't working well. I'm uncertain if the AIO is sufficient, but if that's the case, I'd adjust the radiator fan to draw in air from outside the enclosure.

The fan might already function as an intake. The air I sense could come from the opposing fan pushing air out of the case. I’m hesitant to interfere at this moment and may need to adjust how much core power I use during rendering. Thanks for your assistance!
