For roughly three years my wife has been using a Gigabyte 2070 Super card—primarily for gaming. Around a year and a half after purchasing it, I changed the thermal paste and pads; temperatures were normal before and afterward. A few weeks ago I noticed the card was noisier than before. I checked temperatures and the card reached about 98°C in the hotspot area. After disassembling the card and replacing the paste and pads (Thermal Grizzly aeronaut paste, EKWB G 0.5mm), the temperature only dropped slightly and stayed between 92–96°C. Do you have any suggestions? Perhaps undervolting or should I just let it sit?

Both of my 2080ti models are running at 70°C. They’re watercooled, so I should look for even heat distribution across the die and ensure the cooling pads are properly pressed.
