Looking to assemble a PC for gaming? Here are some solid b550 options—micro or ATX—that offer better value without breaking the bank. Hope this helps!

Probably okay if you don’t require an older chip to refresh the BIOS. Searching for options priced at 110 or less.

B450 MAX motherboards from MSI are excellent options, especially those with a VRM heat sink for strong performance.

Consider alternative options too. Keep an eye out, but it seems you might be focusing on just one item.

If you purchase a motherboard in person, look for the "Ryzen 3000 series ready" label on the packaging to confirm the BIOS is current for your CPU. Most stores carry expensive boards, so it's wise to check local availability. Gigabyte offers affordable options like the B450M dsh3 or B450M-S2H. ASRock has models such as the B450M Pro4, Pro4-F, and B450M/AC, all featuring adequate heat sinks for your CPU. The DS3H model also performs well with an 8-core processor.

Thanks, if the 3300 model wasn’t working, I was thinking about going for the 3600 because it’s only a few dollars more now. But I’m limited to using Best Buy right now.

The 3600 is hardly a bad CPU, so you wouldn't really be taking much of a blow spending that extra money. There's also the 3100, to save an additional $20.
