I've been using this computer since January without any problems. I've played some tough games without issues. Last night it shut down suddenly while only YouTube and Heroforge were running in Chrome. It didn't seem to stress my system much. I checked Task Manager and saw my CPU speed dropping to 0.5, which is unusual. After downloading Ryzen Master to monitor temperatures, I noticed my idle temps were consistently above 80 and even 90, causing the CPU to throttle. I've tried looking for solutions but haven't found anything useful. I think my thermal paste might be applied wrong or the heatsink isn't secured properly, but that doesn't explain why I've never had issues before. I just reinstalled Windows and didn't improve things. I'm now formatting my hard drive to start fresh. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Refresh the cooler, reapply thermal paste. Which cooler are you currently using?
