Recently upgraded from Nvidia GTX1060 to Radeo RX6600xt. I'm using it on my work PC for Fusion 360 and Blender. I found the 6000xt on eBay which seemed like a budget-friendly upgrade. The listing claimed it worked, but who knows? After the upgrade, I started seeing black screens especially when the GPU was busy. I ran a benchmark in Blender and it crashed. I tried AMD Adrenalin without much success. During a GPU stress test my junction bridge temperature reached 110°C which seems high, though online sources say it's normal. I reinstalled drivers, used DDU in safe mode, and the stress test passed. Now, a few weeks later the crashes have returned, mostly in Blender (Fusion isn't so demanding on GPU). It pops during rendering with a black screen and loud fans. After a short reboot it works again. Any suggestions?

Did you check DDU for any nVidia drivers? There might be an issue still present.

I didn't mention reinstalling Windows just to be cautious.

Get DDU any way. It’s been my go-to a lot, and it works well—no need to reinstall Windows. Just run it in safe mode and it’ll wipe everything except your GPU driver files, making it ready for new drivers in minutes and saving you a ton of time.

It means the word is used to describe something that bursts out or explodes suddenly, often in a playful or energetic way.

Power interruptions, display goes dark without any blue error messages. I expected a thermal throttle if overheating occurred.

It might be related to the PSU. I’m not sure if it’s more drawing power compared to the 1060, but you should check the specifications.

Your Corsair TX750 seems to be struggling with power stability and overheating issues. The PSU problem likely causes intermittent shutdowns, and the GPU overheating could lead to a black screen if temperatures become too high. Trying a different PSU cable didn’t help, so check connections and cooling setup next.

If it's tripping, the power supply unit is functioning properly from a safety standpoint. If it continues to operate, it might be time to consider a replacement. For those on a tighter budget, I suggest looking into the RM750x or CX750m options. Also, see the PSU tier list for more details.
