Hello!
It appears that my recently built high-end PC is having performance issues in several games. The frame rates drop drastically, sometimes to zero for a brief moment, and the system freezes or stops responding entirely. For example, in Rainbow Six: Siege, CS:GO, Starbound, and Beat Saber, this happens. It doesn’t occur in League of Legends. The problem also shows up in VR games, especially Beat Saber, where losing around 30 frames can cause noticeable mistakes and a sudden crash.

I’ve tried installing drivers from Driver Booster and GeForce Experience, so I’m not sure I’m missing any updates.
Here are my specifications:
i9-9900k
ASUS ROG STRX RTX 2080
Samsung EVO 256gb M.2
Two additional WD Blue’s 1tb
16gb G Skill X Trident RGB 3200mhz (likely running at 2133mhz)
Dell S2716DG 144hz 27" 1440p
I use 240mm cooling solutions with two case fans. I don’t think overheating is the main cause, as my system stays below 40-50°C overall.

Anyone have any advice on how to fix or optimize this issue?

Have you experienced issues with dual channel memory? Perhaps adjusting the cooler too aggressively is impacting the IMC logic, leading to memory instability. It's probably a memory issue, though it might also stem from other factors such as the motherboard.

This causes more damage than any benefit, it's unnecessary software that performs little useful tasks or actively harms your system by corrupting registries during its so-called "cleaning" process. All of iobit and connected firms are worthless. I recommend reinstalling Windows if possible, and using genuine drivers from Microsoft on the latest Windows Update instead. Unregistered Windows 10 updates still work just like regular ones.

Thanks for your reply. I'm using dual channeled memory and might need to switch it to the other slots. Also, I didn't adjust the liquid cooler much beyond securing it to the CPU. I'm starting to wonder if my 650W CPU with an i9 9900k and a RTX 2080 is sufficient. Happy New Years! Cheers
