CPU usage hovers between 80 and 90 percent, while temperatures stay between 65 and 70 degrees. I run games on ultra with two MSAA settings. The graphics card is GTX 970, 8 GB, i5-4690K, not overclocked, and it's running with the default fan speed.

It's quite good for someone who loves stocks when everything is running at full capacity

70 is acceptable, staying below 75°C is secure. If the stock cooler isn't delivering sufficient cooling, consider switching to a different cooler (I've used the stock one on my i5 4690K and boosted it to 3.9GHz).

Alright, so anything under 80°C is acceptable. TJ Max sets a basic limit; once it's hit, your CPU will begin reducing performance. I tested my 4670k for eight hours at an average of 80-83°C and it handled it without throttling. TL;dr, you're good. Your hero cooler is working.

When temperatures hover near 70°F it should be okay. To maintain a cooler environment dust your case if necessary. Reduce the room temperature. Alternatively, purchase an aftermarket cooler. I personally use the CM Hyper 212 EVO and my temperatures stay below 55°C during gaming. It cost about $30.
