I've really enjoyed Helldivers 2 lately, but I've started feeling annoyed by how the game behaves. Recently, I bought a 7900xtx and was able to run at 90-120fps in 4k depending on the situation. However, over the past week I've experienced unusual lag. Previously, I'd see around 30% CPU usage with stable temperatures, while the GPU would spike to 100% at low temps (around 70s) and drop to 50% or less as the game progressed. Recently, with my 5900x, I've been seeing high CPU usage (about 50-60%) and temperatures in the high 70s (around 77°C). The GPU usage has also decreased to around 70%. Additionally, AMD Adrenalin software stopped working during Helldivers and Helldivers only. When it did appear, it would crash instantly. I also noticed it consumed a lot of CPU when running together. While playing, it caused significant CPU load, sometimes reaching 70%, alongside Helldivers. I checked the forums and found that enabling admin in the settings helped improve things slightly—now I avoid dropping to 50% GPU usage and Adrenalin works without crashing. Still, I occasionally see high GPU usage and CPU spikes, especially during missions, while the ship stays at full GPU power but drops lower over time. This is puzzling given how much power the GPU draws. The performance issues seem limited to Helldivers 2; everything else is running normally. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
