It reflects how quickly your system sends the POST request. Newer systems generally finish faster than older ones, especially after memory upgrades. For example, my 13700K/DDR5 setup had a BIOS time of about 20.2 seconds, whereas an older 4670K would likely take 3–5 seconds or more depending on RAM size. Modern systems are much quicker once they post, even though DDR3 training is slower than DDR5. The difference becomes noticeable only if you frequently restart, otherwise it doesn’t really matter. You can tweak a few BIOS options like Fast Boot, but they often bring stability problems and only save a couple of seconds at most.
