Your motherboard uses both an 8-pin and a 4-pin CPU connector. Your PSU comes with an 8-pin cable, but it only has 8 pins. You can use a different cable that matches your motherboard’s pin configuration, such as a 4-pin cable if your system supports it. Just ensure the pin count matches for proper connection. Thank you!

It's completely okay to run your CPU using a 1x8 pin and achieve good performance.

Skip using the 4-pin connector unless your CPU is consuming over 400 watts. Under normal conditions, only a threadripper can handle that level of power draw.

You can try a different connector, but check compatibility to ensure safety and proper function.

Avoid using cables that weren't included with the original power supply. These aren't compatible. Works best with an 8-pin connector only. Consider upgrading to a better PSU later.

You can safely use any additional cable that came with your power supply without causing harm. However, it won’t provide any benefit either. I wouldn’t bother installing a new one unless it’s specifically designed for another EPS 4+4 pin setup. Avoid connecting anything else unless you’re certain of the pin configuration.

I don't have a power supply unit. Could you clarify which one you're asking about?
