Hi there! How can I assist you today?
I chose to assemble a new machine driven by the top motivator being Star Citizen. I haven’t played it yet—just watched plenty of videos about it. It caught my eye on Reddit when someone talked about adding a puddle jumper from Stargate. That’s why I started researching. I’m really impressed with what I’ve found. Here’s what I’ve gathered: I bought the components this week via https://pcpartpicker.com/user/KCmetro/saved/R3wcf7. I haven’t finished building yet; I’m still figuring out how to allocate space (512GB SSD and 3TB HDD). For gaming, I’ll stick to Windows only, while Linux will handle everything else—including a virtualization host server with around a dozen VMs/instances as a self-contained IaaS. I’ll also run Plex. I’m not sure how to split the storage for both operating systems on the SSD and HDD setup. Overall, I discovered this site has a Star Citizen forum, which is pretty cool.
Hello! This design looks great, though I’d prefer a different setup and AIO options like Phankets Pro, Primo, or Deepcool. That’s just my taste. If you’re seeking someone to join, the team here is decent.
What model are you considering? I had a different experience with NZXT previously, but I found something much better recently. I focused on performance over flashy design and prefer a solid build rather than a stylish look. Just want to make sure the components stay secure inside. What exactly are you looking for?
I really enjoy a lot of Phankets designs, especially their cases. I’m currently working on a build using a Primo, their main EATX case, though the Luxe has also gotten a lot of attention and positive reviews. The Evolv line is solid if you’re after something mid-height with a nice look. It’s essentially the go-to choice for custom water loops wanting maximum online visibility. A Phankets Pro costs around £90 (the exact value isn’t clear), and it provides ample volume, many vents (with filters included), and excellent management features. It ranks second to the Primo, which has separate side housing for the PSU so it doesn’t obstruct anything and is tailored for custom loops. The Pro shines when you need durability and functionality over style. All their cases are fully modular as long as you stick with the base frame, allowing full disassembly.
Blankets are also a great idea. The game's Kickstarter launch really put it on the map, which meant a lot of attention from PC-focused communities. It's understandable that these groups would concentrate on it. However, joining more than one organization isn't possible.
