I recently have a problem with my internet speed (ping). When I play Fortnite, the ping is usually low, around 20 to 30. But lately, it jumps up to 80 or 90. I tried many fixes like turning off background apps, reinstalling the game, stopping things in the task manager, resetting my router. My computer gets hot but nothing helps. Is there any advice? My power supply is a 600-watt unit (I don't know the brand, but it's new). My CPU is a Ryzen 5 2600 G and my GPU is an RX 580. I have an old spinning hard drive for storage, which makes my PC slow when loading games.

You cannot fix everything, but you can keep the connection from your router steady. All else up to you.

Set your location in the game right now. You might be connected to a server somewhere else in your country. Read how to pick the nearest region, pick one area instead of letting it guess, and if you are in the middle of the country, try both NA-east and NA-west for better speed: https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-U...ma...0300391579
