I went out searching for an old PC running Windows 98 and it started up, showing a message that I need to insert a floppy disk in drive A. I opened the BIOS and saw it said the boot drive is faulty, so I switched to the hard drive and nothing changed—just different terminology. I then tried using an old HDD that had been sitting with Windows XP on it, but it still had the same issue. Anyone have some tips or advice?

Checks if the HDD is listed in the BIOS and confirms all connections are correct. Assumes there are IDE drives present.

I played around with the bios for a while, then I refreshed it and it functions perfectly!
