I just got my son a Skytech chrons mini. After resetting it, it seems like a normal PC instead of the previous setup. We’re both really new to this stuff! Need some guidance?

Resetting means returning to the original setup or state. It refers to the desktop, which is the main screen of your computer. What you're asking clarifies what these terms mean in this context.

I adjusted the settings on the PC and pressed the reset button because frequent virus alerts kept appearing. After resetting, the system restarted and displayed a standard Windows background instead of the gaming theme. The previously installed gaming applications are no longer present.

The app that triggered the virus warning was listed among the recently installed gaming applications.

It was either Norton or McAfee that reported a trojan virus. We’re just starting to understand what’s going on. Sorry for the confusion. The gaming apps were installed on the PC at the time of purchase—I don’t recall the exact name. Could it be that I accidentally deleted some software?
