I don’t understand much about PCs or English well, but that’s all I know. The issue is that my computer isn’t turning on at all. It seems like all the fans—PSU, GPU, CPU, even the room fan—are spinning, but it won’t power up. I’ve recently switched to a GTX 960 and have an old GTX 560, so I’ve checked the GPUs and they don’t seem to be the problem. I’ve removed the RAM and put it back in, but it still doesn’t show anything. I’ve tried the parts I think could cause trouble except the CPU, since I don’t have thermal paste or anything else. My setup is an Amaxx A320-Gaming+ with 8GB Hyper X 2600 RAM, Athlon 2000, GTX 960 and GTX 560 230V power supply. I’m working on animations for my job and need to finish scenes, but right now I can’t play Monster Hunter. I really hope someone can help me. Sincerely, Raziel.
Check if the cable is connected to the GPU. If not, plug it in. Also, experiment with different ports and cables if possible.
I removed the CMOS battery just to check, but I don’t think that caused the issue.
Thanks for the update. Yes, it began on Monday. It worked after I let it sit for three hours—even though I don’t keep my PC running for long and didn’t put it in sleep mode, it still consumes a lot of power like a desktop. I’m having trouble accessing BIOS because it doesn’t boot at all.
I identified the issue—it was the RAM. It gave up last Tuesday... sad story... though I don’t know why it failed for me, since it was brand new. It looks like it couldn’t manage running on just one channel.
