Hey, seriously, a 7700K isn't going to run stable at just 1.32 volts and 4.2 ghz.
(the temp is around 80c) and finally remove that cheesy plastic layer, the cpu is really worn out what should i do? i really dont want to spend another 300 dollars to buy a new cpu... now i boot my 7700k at 4.2ghz in 1.32v (not very stable), is there any other way to make it stable and squeeze the clock a little bit more?
in 2018 i bought a 7700k, but the store forgot to take off the plastic cover from the water cooler. after a whole year i finally found this problem i could not turn on my computer in auto voltage mode then i tried setting it to 1.38v to get 4.5ghz but it is very unstable ((((my computer wont start if i do not run r6

Do you want to see a picture of the plastic on the CPU cooler? Are you talking about that copper baseplate touching the CPU IHS? If yes, what were the CPU temperatures like before this problem happened? By the way, 1.32 volts is not enough; you need around 1.25 volts max. Please list your specs here: PSU: Moserboard: Ram: SSD/HDD: GPU: GPU: PSU: OS
Are you talking about the copper baseplate that touches your CPU IHS? Yes, absolutely. I need to double-check my PC soon because years of lifespan for this processor were shortened. (Taking out my water cooler took too much time... sorry man).
