Hey, I'm stuck and need some assistance
If you want to use DLSS, buy the Nvidia version of that build up above. Just change out your video card and power supply with these. You need an ATX 3.1 power supply because the adapter for these Nvidia RTX 40XX or 50XX graphics cards requires it. Here is what we bought: CPU is an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D running at 4.2 GHz with 8 cores, priced around $385 from Amazon. The cooling fan comes from ID-COOLING called FROZN A620 PRO SE with about 58 CFM airflow, costing roughly $30 from Amazon. Your motherboard is a MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI ATX model using the AM5 socket, priced at about $215 from Amazon. You get 32 GB of memory from TEAMGROUP called T-Create Expert with two sticks of 16 GB each running at DDR5 speeds of 6000 CL30 for a total price around $93 from Amazon. Your hard drive is an MSI SPATIUM M461 that has 2 TB, uses the M.2-2280 interface, supports PCIe 4.0 and X4 speed, costs about $100 from MSI. You get a video card called Gigabyte EAGLE OC...
If you want assistance, it's better if others who are trying to help also list their details in your post. If I have to visit another link just to get more info, I won't bother with that. You can see the rules for sharing this on most posts here. Just tell us which software you're using so everyone knows what is enough. Hope someone can give some help!
We're going to need context to the build. We advise users to stylize their thread with info asked of in this thread; *How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice* How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice First off, respect where respect is due - this is an adaptation of the Animal's *How To Ask For New Build Advice* Sticky. I created this because there's a lot of posts nowadays asking for upgrade advice both on here and on the CPU forums, and I feel... forums. and the community will chime in with worthwhile suggestions. On face value, I'd avoid ASRock motherboard's. You're over spending on the case and you don't need a 1KW unit for the RTX5070 in your proposed build.
You are spending way too much money because you aren't getting enough performance. $100 more than what you already have, you could get a better graphics card instead of the current one. Here is what would happen if you bought those parts: The CPU is an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D that runs at 4.2 GHz with 8 cores for $375. It comes with a cooling fan called Thermalright Royal Knight 120 rated at 80.45 CFM for just $34.90. The motherboard is a Gigabyte B850 GAMING X WIFI6E ATX that fits in an AM5 slot and costs $189.99. You also get 32 GB of RAM from Patriot Viper Venom RGB running at DDR5-6000 CL30 for $92.99. For the video card, you are getting a MSI SHADOW 3X OC GeForce RTX 5080 with 16 GB that costs $1399.98 in Newegg. Your case is a Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower Case priced at $89.97 from Amazon, and your power supply is a Thermaltake Toughpower GF A3 - TT Premium Edition 850 W rated for 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply costing $109.99 from Amazon. The total comes to $2292.82 with shipping, taxes, and discounts included. If you can afford that much money, or if that is the biggest limit of yours, you could still go for an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, a Gigabyte X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 ATX AM5 Motherboard for $299.99 from Amazon, and a Gigabyte WINDFORCE SFF GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB Video Card that costs only $837.98 from Newegg. The total would be lower at $1840.82 with shipping, taxes, and discounts included. Generated by PCPartPicker on May 19, 2025 at 15:26 EDT-0400 or maybe even later depending on when you check the site
Why am I building this PC? My plan is to use an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor. It costs about $375 at Amazon and has eight cores for speed. I'm using a Thermalright Phantom Spirit EVO cooler that gives it good airflow and costs $49.90. The motherboard is the Gigabyte B850 GAMING WIFI6, which supports AM5 sockets and runs around $179.99 on Amazon. For memory, I picked two sticks of Corsair Vengeance DDR5 running at 6000MHz, totaling $119.97 from Amazon. My storage is a Crucial T500 NVMe drive that holds two terabytes and costs $132.99. I want to add graphics, so I chose an MSI SHADOW 3X OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti with 16 GB of VRAM for $852.98 at Newegg. My case is the Corsair FRAME 4000D RS ARGB, a mid-sized tower that fits well and costs $94.99 from Newegg. To finish up, I bought a Super Flower Leadex III Gold power supply rated for 850 watts with full modularity, priced at $119.99. One extra fan is the Corsair RS140 ARGB, which has about 95 CFM and costs only $24.99 from Amazon. All these parts together add up to a total of $1950.80. The prices listed here include shipping, any applicable taxes, and discounts that were active when I generated this list on May 19th at 4:00 PM EDT using PCPartPicker.
I always warn people against buying a Full Tower chassis because they are huge and hard to sell for, since shipping them costs too much money. Just the supplier can make it work with their big bulk deals. There are other chassis that handle lots of storage if you really need that, even though they stay in the mid-tower range. If you just want to fit a massive motherboard, you probably don't need the whole tower. If you like the look of the 7000D, the 4000D is basically the same thing but shorter. It comes in different versions with fans, without fans, and with a full iCUE Corsair fan setup. The RM1000x is a bit pricey, but it has a very good power supply. GF A3 won't let you down, but it isn't Thermaltake's best choice. Sadly the PSU market has been really volatile, and there isn't much better than the GF A3 that isn't the RM1000x, which costs less than $200.
oops, I messed up with my posts. I'll fix it for sure on the next one.
it's all about playing video games and picking the right computer setup to make sure you get the most fun possible.
