Hey, I’m running into a really frustrating problem with *Modern Warfare* – it keeps stuttering and freezing, even crashing. It’s driving me crazy to play! I've noticed that a lot of games have been running noticeably slower lately, like dropping from 144 frames down to 90. I usually cap my frame rate, so that’s really strange.

I had a similar issue with *Fortnite* a few months ago, and I managed to keep playing by lowering the settings as much as possible, sometimes even reducing the resolution. Initially, I thought it might be my cooler, so I replaced it, but it didn’t make a difference. *Battlefield 1* runs fine, but *Fortnite* still has the same problem. I can’t even overclock my CPU with this motherboard, which is a bummer.

Honestly, I'm not sure if the issue lies with my CPU, RAM, GPU, or even the motherboard itself. I’m really hoping someone can tell me what to do – maybe an update, or something that could improve my performance. I’ve already cleaned out my PC with compressed air, but it hasn't helped.

Here are the specs of my system:

* CPU: Intel i5 6600K (not overclocked)
* GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1070 (8GB) – Manli Ultimate Edition
* RAM: Crucial 8GB Single DDR4 2133MHz (2x8GB)
* Motherboard: ASRock H110M-HDV
* HDD: 2TB OOS2000G (SATA)
* Monitor: Dell (144Hz, 2440 x 1440)
* Power Supply: SL 700W
* CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
* OS: Windows 10

I've had this PC for almost three years now, and I’m starting to wonder if something is fundamentally wrong with the build.

your build is perfect....
The problem is in game..because this game uses 100% cpu on 4 core cpus....and warzone also make process priority very high.
ONLY solution to game is :- Open game and exit battle.net app.....when game opens and you reach on main dashboard...open task manager ...go to details tab and find warzone or cod process and right click and change priority to normal....then it will work..,,,,cpu usage will go down to 85-95%

I’ve already attempted that, and it didn't change anything—it still crashes or freezes. I even tried using a program called Process Lasso, but nothing seemed to help. The only way I can manage Warzone is by lowering the rendering scale, which temporarily fixes the crashes, but it still causes freezing and makes it really difficult to see enemies, so gameplay isn’t very enjoyable. Honestly, I think it's almost impossible to play, though not entirely unpleasant.

I have 4th gen i5 4460 @3.2 Ghz, which is known for office use but...still it works flawless in gaming.....
you have 6th gen cpu..then ........:-
1 Check your cpu temps...high cpu temps also cause freezes/slutter.....
2 windows 10 version........and how old installation
3 For gaming use SSD ......HDD are slower ....[i also suffered when installed on hdd]

Hey, about that “SL 700 plus” power supply you were talking about – is it made by Inter-Tech? Honestly, I'm not convinced it’s actually delivering 700 watts. Would you happen to know someone with a really good power supply who could let you borrow it and test it out?

My computer’s temperature usually stays around 35 degrees Celsius when I'm not gaming, but it tends to climb to about 45 degrees during intense gameplay. The highest I’ve noticed is 50, but it hasn't been too extreme. I’m running Windows 10 version 1809. I've been hearing a lot about solid-state drives and how they can speed up loading times and startup, but I haven’t really seen any evidence that they significantly improve frame rates or cause problems in games.

Just a thought—I looked into this over at Outervision, and it seems like I’m going to need a minimum of 750 watts.

“750 watts? Honestly, that feels a little excessive. You don’t usually need that much power for a basic VR gaming PC – systems around $1500 typically don’t. It might be that your power supply is the culprit, and honestly, it could be causing a slowdown. Before you jump to conclusions, have you double-checked that all your drivers and updates are up to date? Sometimes Nvidia and AMD release new driver versions for their graphics cards, but your computer won’t automatically download them. Not having those latest drivers can really throw things off, so I'd recommend taking a look at this page – it has a tool that automatically downloads new drivers for you, or you can manually check to see if your GPU needs an update.”

The newest Nvidia driver didn't seem to help at all.
