Hi everyone, my nephew bought a used gaming PC and when he got home and tried to connect to the WiFi, it said Cannot Connect to Network. NOTE: The family has other devices on that network working fine. It's running Windows 11 here is what I tried so far. Tried different networks - the PC connects to many others successfully. Changed Wi-Fi adapter - Same result. Works on other places but not my nephew's home one. Forgot the password and tried reconnecting. Ran the network troubleshooter. Hard reset of the router. Renamed the wireless network. Updated driver software for the WiFi card. Fresh install of Windows. I have no idea what else to try next. My nephew is calling his internet provider because maybe they can help too. I would appreciate any ideas that I haven't thought about yet. Thanks, Scott
Welcome to the forums! My little brother just bought an old gaming PC. When he posts a thread about how things go wrong, it is okay to write down all of his system's details. Please list them like this: CPU: cooler: motherboard: RAM: SSD or HDD: GPU: power supply: case: operating system: monitor: please tell us the age of the power supply besides its make and model. Also, share your BIOS version right now on the motherboard. And yes, he did get a fresh Windows install. Where did you download that installer? Did you recreate it to be sure nothing was broken? Did you start up in offline mode? Or did you manually add every driver for this platform with the newest version by clicking right click and choosing Run as Administrator?
