Hey everyone. I recently swapped out several parts on my PC. The old RAM slot was dead, so I installed a new SSD since the previous one lacked a DRAM cache. A cooler was added for better cooling. After installing the new motherboard, I quickly ran into some strange graphics problems. First, the monitors wouldn’t display anything at all. I had to tweak the cables and restart a few times before it worked. Once video output appeared, I began transferring files to the cloud and installing Windows on the new drive. After a fresh install and cleaning the drive, the issues persisted. This time the graphics were even worse—resolution was terrible and I couldn’t adjust display settings. I assumed it was driver-related, so I installed the new drivers for the motherboard. The usual 5-10 second black screen and flashing lasted longer, sometimes over three minutes with audio distorting (I was watching a video during the process). This has been happening for a few days now. I’ve reinstalled Windows multiple times, used DDU to fully remove my drivers, but the problems continue. Right now, after the latest Windows update, my PC freezes during the most recent install when launching default graphics drivers. Other details: My components changed to Asus B450i Strix, replaced with AsRock B550M-ITX and Kingston SATA SSD, swapped with Crucial P5 Plus PCIe4.0 2x8 at 3200MHz RAM, an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X. The display worked briefly after downloading basic drivers post-uninstallation of all NVIDIA-related stuff, but it was an outdated driver (probably version 417.xx) and I couldn’t use anything with it. After updating drivers and restarting, the issues returned. It seems my PC struggles to install drivers properly—when I opened GeForce Experience, it asked me to reinstall them again. Another thing I noticed: the Windows loading circle of dots freezes during boot, taking over a minute to load. I’ve tried everything: reinstalling Windows, changing partition types, resetting BIOS to defaults, fully uninstalling drivers, and even installing older versions.
