Hey, I need some help picking out the best setup to use my laptop like a game console.
I don't know exactly how to say what I need, but I want to build a gaming setup using my Xbox controller and a wireless connection. My laptop is connected to a 65-inch 4K TV that I bought last week so I can play Steam games and the Elder Scrolls online. I'm looking for an affordable and strong laptop stand. I also need a wireless mouse or touchpad combo, even though I am sure there isn't one out there just like what I want to use while playing online. I know this setup is not perfect, but my laptop is way more powerful than a PS4/Xbox One and almost the same power as an Xbox One S. So it makes no sense to buy a game console right now. Thanks! I am thinking of making this a lazy set up haha... because my apartment is small and the living room is not the best place for gaming with friends. anyway, this might be a strange request for help but I need something like that. 😀

Is a laptop really required if you want to use it like a gaming console? Why skip the small form factor desktop instead?
