Hmm, the RTX 5070 surprised me. Not gonna lie, but I get your point. I've said this a few times (maybe not even on this forum) that it's tough for me because AMD cards like the 9070 and 9070XT are better for gaming than the RTX 5070, but the RTX wins with productivity apps which I use too. So I'm going to have to give up something a bit. On the other hand, in my country, the RTX 5070 is only about 250 euros cheaper than the RX 9070 XT.

Here is the part list from a PCPartPicker review. The CPU is an Intel Core i7-14700F, which has 2 cores and runs at 2.1 GHz for about €340.82 on Alza. It comes with an ID-COOLING FX360 PRO liquid cooler that pushes out 82.5 CFM and costs around €71.90. The motherboard is a MSI B760 GAMING PLUS WIFI LGA1700 board for €158.90 on Alza. For memory, I'm using Patriot Venom with 64 GB of DDR5-6000 CL30 RAM that costs about €197.90 at the same site. Storage includes a Lexar NM710 M.2 drive with 2 TB and speeds for PCIe 4.0 x4, priced at €114.90 on Alza. On the graphics front, I picked a Gigabyte WINDFORCE SFF RTX 5070 with 12 GB of video memory, which goes for roughly €646.90 on Alza. The case is a Montech AIR 903 BASE ATX mid-tower that costs about €73.90 at the same site. My power supply is an ADATA XPG Core Reactor II VE with 750 Watts, rated for 80+ Gold, and it's fully modular costing around €96.90 on Alza. That brings my total to about €1702.12. These prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available. All the parts were picked using parametric criteria by PCPartPicker, which was made on May 4th, 2025 at 21:54 CEST +0200 time zone.

How much does a single quiet, optimized case from be quiet cost? Usually, you get nice fans inside too, and even if the unit is very silent, it's not a heatbox!

Thanks so much! These choices really stood out to me. Some things I actually picked for my own stuff (cooling, graphics card, case, power supply) because they seemed similar. Can you tell me why someone would choose 64GB of RAM and an i7 processor? Not saying these are bad picks, just wondering why that is.

Thanks for your reply! Well I could get Be Quiet pure base 500 DX in my country for just 100€. That seems like a good deal, anything else is kind of out of reach for me but at the same time it looks tempting to spend more on this.

32GB should do just fine. I sent out 64GB because I didn't know exactly what amount of memory you needed for your daily tasks.

The DX uses air to move things around, while the base 600 makes a lot of noise instead.

Exactly. When I use my AIO cooler, the extra fans inside my case also suck air out. This means the fan built into my CPU plate moves around the processor and gets pulled away from the inside of the case. Just remember that moving air makes noise. You should only buy parts that work at low loads so they are efficient and don't make too much heat to get rid of with extra fans.
