I've been fighting with this lagging problem for a long time. It started on MW2, but now that I'm capping my FPS at 144, it's not as bad anymore. But when I play MW2 today, it's way worse than before. Almost every game has this issue. I get a lot of lag because my FPS drops to around 100-150 and goes back up slightly. I'm currently trying hardwire just in case, but I thought maybe it was about cooling? That doesn't seem right at all. Any help would be super helpful with this nightmare situation. I feel so lost now; I've tried everything and almost feel like I'm the only person with this problem. See the video down below to see what's actually happening. Here are my specs: Processor is an i7 10700kf (I think it might be a 10th gen). The GPU is a Nvidia RTX 2070 SUPER, and the mobo is an MSI Z490. I have 16gb of ram (not sure about the brand tbh), my psu seems to be around 650-750w based on what I can tell from the video, and I've attached a picture of the problems.

Can you run UserBenchmark and share the public link to the results? It might help point if any hardware could be causing your lag. I have noticed MW2 having an occasional stutter, and my system shouldn't have any issues. I don't get stutter in other games so I suspect MW2 may need an update to improve performance. However this is nowhere near as bad as what was in your video. Is the game installed on a hard disk or SSD?

Well, not just the game itself, honestly anything that needs a lot of power seems to make this problem show up. For example I can play Valorant without any problems and yes the game is on my SSD, it doesn't matter where it's set it still does this. But I hope this helps again I am way over the top lost and ready to sell my PC if this issue can not be fixed. https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/56271301

Plug RAM into slots a2 through b2, and turn on XMP.
