Hey, I broke something again.
I just powered on my gaming PC, but it won’t load into Windows—it boots into BIOS but can’t progress further. The first Windows logo appears, then nothing follows. What happened? Could there be an issue? I own a Gigabyte Z97P D3, an Intel i5 4590 (details of the setup are a long story), R9 380 graphics, and 4GB RAM. Should I reinstall Windows, or can I use the repair option? There’s a risk of losing data if I proceed that way. I’ve reset the BIOS, preferring not to open the case, but the problem persists. What should I do next?
This was a black screen with a mouse pointer in a loading indicator. It stayed there for a long time without clearing. I tried pressing F8 but missed it and everything loaded fine. Now it works perfectly after what I did, even though it felt like nothing happened. It’s working now, so I guess it fixed itself.
It's functioning now, though I'm not sure what caused the issue before it resolved itself.
Yes, it just stopped needing help and started working smoothly without any effort except pressing F8 on the window icon, but it didn’t do anything else.
