I get really low frames when I play valorant. Before, my setup was like this: gpu was an MSI rtx 2080 ti ventus, cpu was a ryzen 1600x that I ran at 45 ghz, mobo was an asus crosshair vi with wifi, and ram was a corsair vengance of 16 gigs running at 3200 ihz. Back then I got around 120 to 140 frames when playing on low settings in 1280x960. Making the graphics quality higher didn't help much, and increasing the resolution didn't fix it either. So I thought my cpu was killing my gpu performance. Then I upgraded my cpu to a ryzen 5800x3d and got myself the trident z royals elite running on 3600 mhz. I expected to see 400+ fps but almost exactly like that, i was disappointed.

I checked benchmarks on youtube with those same specs and someone else ran valorant in 1080p max settings and got 600+. Other benchmark sites showed them getting 400+ at this point. I am stumped and don't know what's wrong. Is there something crucial I'm missing?

Additional details that i forgot to add: I only ran valorant and discord. Valorant uses about 25% cpu and 20% gpu. I tried running with multi-threaded rendering and without, didn't see much of a difference.

Quick update: The issue seems specific to valorant. Just tried out rocket league and it worked perfectly. Update: Running around midgame after using afterburner i noticed the gpus clock speed never went over 1350 and valorants usage was at a stable 18% in task manager. Third update: I tried running csgo since its also a cpu biased game and was surprised to see stable 600+ frames. Does this mean it's an issue regarding valorant only?

Edit: I went into my bios and enabled docp and havent seen a major performance increase yet. Another update: Tried playing a couple of comp games while monitoring usage, gpu usage was as low as 8 to 9% whilst cpu was 18 to 20%. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling graphics drivers, didnt help neither did reinstalling the game just for clarification my build after the upgrades are as follows: gpu : msi geforce rtx 2080 ti ventus, cpu : ryzen 7 5800x3d, mobo : asus crosshair vi (wifi), ram : 32 gigs (dual channel), trident z royal elites docp'd to 3600mhz

It sounds like Valorant might need some settings added, or at least one specific thing you are forgetting that would let it work fully with your computer.
