The 9800x3d might hit lower prices sometimes, but the average price is still much higher compared to before.

You are showing off 1080p pictures (using a rtx 4090 or maybe a 5090) which is mostly useless because this setup seems meant for 1440p or even 4K gaming. The difference gets smaller and smaller at higher resolutions, so only a small gap of 5-6% appears with weaker video cards at those settings. Even with the rtx 4090, it's usually under 10% faster on average when playing at 1440p or 4K, and it would be even less if you had something like a 5070ti or a 9070xt. https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-r...3d/21.html But after looking at the DK prices, I have to say that buying a 9070xt for less than 6K gives you the best deal on price and performance. The white version of an rtx 5080 would cost almost double that money, which isn't worth it so OP could get the ryan 7-9800x3d instead (or save some cash with a 9700x) when it comes to memory. Two sticks of 24GB is something you should consider: I think "silver" modules are fine for a white build... PCPartPicker Part List Memory: Corsair Vengeance 48 GB (2 x 24 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory (1349.00kr @ Proshop) Power Supply: NZXT C850 (2024) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (1268.00kr @ Dustin Home) Total: 2617.00kr Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2025-05-29 16:06 CEST+0200

That difference changes a lot when the screen gets bigger to 1440p. It all depends on which game you pick. For example, Baldur's Gate 3 needs more power from your computer. Starfield doesn't need as much. Old rules about how games work don't always stay true anymore. As another way to put it, if I'm playing World of Warcraft now, and I build my PC today, I would still get a really fast CPU like the Intel 9800K no matter what graphics card I have. Even with an RX 6800 at high settings, the game feels slow because that CPU is the main problem.

Here is my plan for this build: I picked an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor that runs at about 4.2 GHz and has eight cores, coming from Computersalg for around 3236 kr. To keep it quiet, I added a Liquid Freezer III Pro A-RGB 360 cooler sold on Dustin Home's site for roughly 1048 kr. The board is a Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 ICE from Alternate costing 1745 kr. For memory, I used two sticks of G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo RGB totaling 32 GB (two 16 GB each) from Proshop at 1190 kr and installed them on a computer with an AMD motherboard running DDR5-6000 CL28. My storage relies on two big NVMe SSDs: the first is a Western Digital WD_Black SN850X 1 TB from Computersalg for about 713 kr, and the second is a Western Digital WD Blue SN5000 2 TB from Proshop at 925 kr. I added graphics with an ASRock Steel Legend Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB card from Proshop near 5800 kr for performance. For housing, I chose the NZXT H7 Flow case from Computersalg costing 798 kr, and I used an MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 power supply rated at 850W with a 80+ Gold certification from Computersalg at 1040 kr. The total cost for this whole setup comes out to 16485 kr, which covers shipping, taxes, and any discounts I could get.

Here is a cheaper way to buy two big hard drives at the same time for less money. You can use two different drives from Proshop, one for 1TB and another for 2TB. The total price comes to 1625.00 kr. This list is just like this: you pay shipping, taxes, and discounts when they are on sale. It was made by PCPartPicker on May 29, 2025.

I need a hard drive with fast memory called DRAM cache. The WD sn5000 doesn't get this special memory, which is why I picked up the WD SN850X that holds 1 terabyte of space just to store my operating system files.
