Hospital is No Mercy Riverside is linked to the death toll. The stream here isn't a river but a stream, and it might also be Swamp Fever where you travel along the water at certain points.

I didn't enjoy Left 4 Dead 2. It seems more like a typical shooter rather than the horror experience I anticipated from the first game. On Steam, it appears on my "party games" section.

I've reached the same idea before, 15 years ago I could easily lose myself in Starcraft for over ten hours, and now I manage to play just one level in a first-person campaign without interruptions from family.

It was created by Valve, the company behind FPS games. Despite that, I really liked it thanks to all the mods and custom maps from the community, especially the Versus game mode.

Absolutely those are the key points. It’s clear you’re talking about the intense, survival-focused elements. There’s another one I really liked, though I’m not sure what it is. It seems to come from the original L4D, where you had a farm-like house in the final act; there’s a tank or APC that collects survivors, and it looks like a version of the classic George Romero zombie movie.

It's understandable, but that was a long time ago. I haven't played in nearly six months.
