Hey! Any Google Drive folks?
Hey! Any Google Drive folks?
Hey, how do I open the place where I can find everything I sent to people? Is this like what you meant when you said "shared with someone else"?
Unfortunately, there isn't one perfect method. You can use a site like Whohasaccess.com to check if someone else accessed your drive (you have to do that). The best thing is to keep personal stuff and shared items apart. Before the new Google Drive program came out, I put my work files in my own folder and just synced those folders to my work PC. Now, I have a "Work Files" folder on my computer, but I made a free Gmail account for work and gave that one full access to see everything. To see who has seen your stuff on Google Drive, there is only the real way: go to the website, click the little person icon next to the file or folder, then right-click and choose "Share." That will show you who...
There is no real way to do this completely alone. There is a website called "Whohasaccess.com" that can scan your drive for this (you decide how much work it takes). The best thing is to keep personal stuff and shared stuff in different places. Until recently, with the new Google Drive program, I kept my work files in my own folder and only synced those folders to my work computer. Now I have a special folder on mine labeled "Work Files" and I created a free Gmail account just for work. I gave full access to that specific folder. When you go to the Google Drive website, the only real way to see who is sharing what is to look at little person icons next to folders or files. Then right-click and choose share, and it will show you exactly who has access. The only thing is if you make a link where anyone with that link can view it, it shows a shared icon but won't tell you the emails involved. You have to go back and change the settings from "Anyone with link" to "Restricted," and then stop sharing until you give someone an email address to share with specifically.
