I’m experiencing frame rate drops while playing PUBG at both 720p and 1080p resolutions, even with graphics settings reduced to their lowest levels. I utilized MSI Afterburner to investigate the issue.
My central processing unit’s temperature ranges from 60 to 70 degrees Celsius, and its usage fluctuates between 40% and 70%. Memory utilization is approximately 6gb, leaving less than 7gb available. The graphics card’s temperature averages around 70 degrees Celsius, with usage levels ranging from 50% to 70%.
All drivers and BIOS firmware are current. I’ve configured the BIOS with all settings at their maximum levels, excluding voltage adjustments – nothing is overclocked either in the BIOS or through any software. I’ve performed a thorough driver cleanup using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU), repeating the process four times. No other applications are running in the background besides the NVIDIA driver and the game itself. Startup programs have been disabled completely. My operating system and PUBG are installed on the solid-state drive, and my antivirus software is temporarily disabled.
I acknowledge that playing with higher graphics settings would likely cause stuttering, but the issue persists even at low settings, and I find it disruptive.
Describe the stuttering behavior. Is the game functioning adequately, yet exhibiting a shaky or unstable visual appearance? Or does it frequently halt during moments of activity? Determining the root cause can often be challenging. Based on your description, your computer appears to be within expected parameters for its specifications. Have you adjusted both the Windows power plans and Nvidia Control Panel settings to see if that affects performance? Also, have you turned off Windows 10 Gamebar and Xbox DVR? It’s likely I’ll suggest an upgrade to a more powerful graphics card.
